Our Vision for the Next Three Years To build an exemplary breeding program, we have embarked on an incredible journey across the globe. From South Africa to the United States and Eastern Europe, we’ve visited more than twenty breeders to deeply understand this exceptional breed.
Our goal is clear: to select our future breeding dogs based on a precise morphotype and impeccable health traceability. At Boerwoods, we are taking the time to do things right. We will not begin breeding before 2027, ensuring that our selection is built on a solid foundation of health, functionality, and respect for the breed’s heritage. This careful approach reflects our dedication to producing Boerboels of the highest quality. The Boerboel According to Boerwoods We envision a Boerboel that seamlessly combines aesthetics, functionality, and health:

To honor the character and origins of this remarkable breed, every dog born at Boerwoods or imported as a puppy will be given names inspired by African tribes, paying tribute to the rich cultural heritage of the Boerboel’s homeland. • We select only bloodlines with breeders who have performed rigorous health testing on hips, elbows, spines, and hearts. • We continue these tests within our own program once our dogs have reached full maturity, ensuring a strong and healthy genetic foundation. Proven Expertise and Ideal Infrastructure With over 20 years of experience in breeding molossers, we bring invaluable expertise to selecting robust and balanced bloodlines.
